This ground-up restaurant for the Gastronomica Restaurant Group served as a platform for our ongoing research into lamella structures. The roof of the restaurant is made up of a network of individual pinwheel elements, each of which is rotated at a unique angle in both plan and section. As a result, the lamellas are read as an integrated set of distinct objects rather than united grid.

The depth of the skylights is exploited break down the space into implied table-size volumes and to filter overhead light. Skylights, located at the center of each lamella, further emphasize the distinctions between them.
